What a great day to discover and get to know Jesus.  I learned today that Messiah is a Hebrew word for Christ and the Greek term is Christ.  They both mean “Anointed One”.  I want to daily understand and to learn more of God’s Word.  As I learn His Word, I then will also grow in understanding of who Jesus really is?  Jesus asked his disciples who others say he is, the reply was a variety of other people.  Then he asked Peter, and he proclaimed Jesus as the Anointed One, the Son of God.

Matthew 16:13-16 (New Living Translation)

Peter’s Declaration about Jesus

13 When Jesus came to the region of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, “Who do people say that the Son of Man is?”[a]

14 “Well,” they replied, “some say John the Baptist, some say Elijah, and others say Jeremiah or one of the other prophets.”

15 Then he asked them, “But who do you say I am?”

16 Simon Peter answered, “You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God.”

Who do you say Jesus is today?
