God Be Made Big! November 24, 2009

As I have been reading the past couple of days, I have noticed a few places where Jesus said, “it is for God’s glory so that God’s Son may be glorified through it.”  John 11:4.  In all things we should give all glory and honor to the Lord God.  Whether the time is favorable and life is going “our” way, or when we are  hard pressed and facing difficult challenges in our daily life.  Look to God and give Him the opportunity to work His miracle in your life.

Lazarus was a friend of Jesus, they loved each other very much.  Lazarus came ill and died.  Jesus was not in a hurry because He knew that a miracle was going to happen.  Through the miracle of Lazarus being raised from the dead, God was glorified and many people believed in Jesus Christ and God the Father.  Later in the next chapter people were still talking about Lazarus being raised from the dead and others continued to believe in the Messiah Jesus Christ.

Sometimes we don’t understand why we are walking through peaceful times or challenges in our life.  I believe though if we will press on in faith and keep our eyes on Jesus Christ we will come to an understanding that He will be glorified and people both believers and non-believers will see God’s greatness and salvation for all.
